Invitation to Brunch
Dear friends,
We want to again invite you to celebrate the Ridgewood Democratic Club on Sunday, March 6 from noon until 4pm. Our Annual Membership Brunch will honor our Community Leader, Assemblywoman Catherine Nolan.
We have extended the time of our event to welcome participants in Sunnyside's Saint Patrick's for All parade (which will be held on the same day,) stop by and have a bite to eat after parading! We are planning many exciting programs in the months ahead, which we will share March 6th, and expect many political leaders to attend to honor Cathy. Hope to see you there as we announce the club slate for various offices.
The work of the Ridgewood Democratic Club, as a neighborhood focal point, is longstanding. We have registered voters, supported Presidential, Gubernatorial, Mayoral and other candidates. We have hosted many forums on topics of interest such as public transportation, housing, the environment, veterans, children and women's rights. As volunteers we have hosted a Farmworkers lunch when they were marching to Albany, and we supported Assemblywoman Nolan in her long fight for their labor rights. We have worked with Cathy on supporting paid family leave. We have lent support to her efforts on behalf of fiscal equity for New York schools. We have supported elected officials like, Grace Meng, Nydia Velazquez, Carolyn Maloney, Donovan Richards, Joe Addabbo and many others, working with our friends in labor unions and small business to turn seats Democratic. We are proud of our successes and despite the challenges of COVID in the past two years, have stayed strong and kept going. To continue our good work, we need your donations and support.
See you March 6th,
the RDC Board
